TENSION RODS
These pull the counterhoop (metal rim) of the drum toward the shell, with the head sandwiched in between. This adjusts the tuning of the drum. They’re most often tuned using some kind of drum key, but not always.
are 41mm in diameter and are most commonly used on snare drums, and small-to-medium toms. This package of 6 tension rods include washers and can help if you need to replace old or lost tension rods.
